Character Wall

About

The Name

The name, Mind to Work, comes from Nehemiah 4:6. So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work. Nehemiah and the laborers faced no shortage of opposition and difficulty, yet the work continued.

We want to build a foundation of character traits and habits in our children, so that they might succeed in spite of opposition and difficulty.

Who We Are

We are a homeschooling family in rural Pennsylvania. Both parents bring experience from both classroom and homeschool education. We know what we wish our education had given us. We are making tools available to help us as teachers and sharing them with you.

Mind to Work is the vision of Thaddeus Taylor, shaped by the experiences and insights of the families who use it.

Helping Families Thrive

For many families, taking ownership for your child’s education begins with a simple reality: your values don’t fully align with the direction of society. That tension is often what leads you to take responsibility for your child’s education in the first place. You’re not just choosing a different method—you’re choosing a different foundation.

We believe in building homes marked by stability, purpose, and the desire to “lead a quiet and peaceable life” (1 Timothy 2:2). We see children as our most important investment—not just academically, but in their character, discipline, and direction.

Mind to Work exists as a tool to support that vision. We come alongside families who are committed to raising their children with intention—helping you establish structure, reinforce meaningful habits, and cultivate a home where learning and life work together.

Thriving is not about keeping pace with the world around you—it is about faithfully building something strong within your own family.
