Welcome to Mind to Work! We’re thrilled to have you here. If you use our service, you are agreeing to these terms. They exist to protect both you and us, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone.
1. Your Account
To use Mind to Work, you must provide an email address to authenticate your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for any activity that occurs under it.
- Email Use: We may send authentication emails as requested or relevant account information as necessary.
- Email Sharing: Your email will not be shared with any other party except in direct connection with the services you request.
2. Acceptable Use
We’re building Mind to Work to help families succeed, and we ask that you use it in that same spirit—respectfully, responsibly, and within the law. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines or otherwise interfere with the intended use of the platform.
- Respect the Service: Do not interfere with or disrupt the platform, including attempts to overload, damage, or impair its functionality.
- Respect Access Boundaries: Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any accounts, data, or systems that do not belong to you.
- Use Appropriate Content: Do not store, share, or transmit anything unlawful, harmful, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate through the service.
- Follow the Law: Do not use Mind to Work in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Follow Intended Methods: Do not use unauthorized bots, scripts, scrapers, or automated methods to interface with this service. Use the service only as intended by the service providers.
3. Fees and Billing
- Subscription: This is a paid service with service tiers to fit any budget. You agree to the pricing and payment terms given with the subscription you choose. In the event of a rate change, you will be notified at least 30 days prior to your renewal.
- Promotional Rates: Discounts and introductory offers may be extended to incentivize new users. We hope you will be happy for them.
- Cancellation and Termination: We would be sorry to see you go, but you can cancel your subscription at any time. You will continue to have access to paid services through the end of your current billing period unless you delete your account. We also reserve the right to suspend accounts where the relationship is irreconcilable.
- Refunds: We are committed to helping you succeed with Mind to Work and will go above and beyond to make it work for you. If you’re not satisfied, please reach out—we want to understand and improve. If a refund is requested, it will be prorated daily over the first 100 days of your annual subscription.
4. Ownership and Content
- Personal and Contact Information: You retain all rights to the data and content you upload. We claim no ownership over it.
- Anonymized Data: We want to help everyone win. We may use anonymized and aggregated data derived from use of the service to improve features, generate insights, and provide recommendations. This data does not identify individual users and is not owned by any single user.
- Our Platform: The software, design, and branding of Mind to Work belong to us. We hope you are a fan and are important here, but please don’t claim our property as your own.
5. Compliance
Mind to Work is a tool to assist you, not a substitute for understanding or meeting your legal obligations. Any information, templates, or reports provided by Mind to Work are for organizational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice.
- Your Responsibility: Every state and country has different homeschooling laws. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that your records, curriculum, and reporting meet the specific legal requirements of your jurisdiction.
- No Guarantee of Compliance: We take no responsibility for ensuring you are in compliance with local education laws.
- Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): Mind to Work does not collect personal information from children. Only parents / teachers may create accounts or permit access for children. You understand that children may use this service to track and communicate assignment progress and prize chest preferences to you only with your permission and under your direction.
6. Limitation of Liability
We care about what we’re building and want Mind to Work to be a helpful and reliable tool for you. At the same time, it’s important to be clear about the limits of our responsibility.
- Service "As Is": Mind to Work is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly suited to your specific needs.
- Use at Your Own Risk: You are responsible for how you use the service, including maintaining your own records and meeting any requirements that apply to your use.
- Availability and Data: While we aim for consistent availability, we are not responsible for interruptions, delays, or loss of data. You agree that maintaining copies of important information is your responsibility.
- Third-Party Services: We are not responsible for issues caused by third-party providers, including email delivery, hosting services, or other systems outside our control.
- Limited Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mind to Work and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of—or inability to use—the service.
- Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription during the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
- Worst-Case-Scenarios: We are a small independently built service, and while we intend to support it long-term, we cannot guarantee indefinite availability. In the unlikely event of a disruption or shutdown, we will do our best to provide notice so users can make appropriate decisions. We cannot guarantee ongoing administrative handling of accounts in extreme or unforeseen circumstances.
7. Changes to These Terms
As we grow, we might update these terms. If we make big changes, we’ll send you an email or post a notice in the app. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you agree to the updated terms.
